New all-time lows

#VXXGame New lows in UVXY (first time since April 19th) and new low in VXX, breaking its previous all-time low on August 5th, 2015.

The FED removed the word “risk” from global outlook but also removed observations of strengthening inflation putting the June rate hike in limbo. It may or may not happen. But even if it happened by then nobody will care as the FED meeting will be relegated to Page Six as the “S&P500 Makes Another All-Time High” headlines will dominate center stage. The market is currently playing a game of whack-a-mole whacking whichever company dares to report earnings and then quietly bidding up the stock once it disappears from view as the rotation into energy and financials continues.

So long as VIX stays in the high 13s and low 14, XIV will incrementally be posting a high after high. XIV reached the highest levels of this rally at $28.62 intraday today and looks poised to finally go higher after VX1 and VX2 broke 16 and 18 for the first time today in this contract cycle.

No change in the volatility indicators. Everything is staying deep green and AVCI remains in the high 17s far away from “Steamroller Risk” levels. I guess go out and play some golf because nothing is really happening.

  Think what he’s saying is with spot VIX well below front month futures and front month futures well below the following month futures contango roll will be strong. I’m staying long XIV with 200 ma as a stop…long SVXY also but unfortunately with covered calls.
