I read this in Barron’s over the weekend. It gave me a chuckle but honestly it’s a bit scary how emotions get people to do things, even significant things, without a whole lot of thought.

From Google Trends, the top 3 searches in the UK that were recorded AFTER the results of the Brexit vote were officially announced:

1. What does it mean to leave the EU?
2. What is the EU?
3. How many countries are in the EU?
