Stopped out for 15.50, for Breakeven. IV was slow to drop, and the dip to almost centered at 6:59 not enough to get 10%.

Interested to see how others fared if they had a better entry. I was playing it tight today and only allowed it to get 2.00 in the whole before trying to stop out. A 6:45am PT entry would have been better centered.

Not happy with this strategy anymore. Even though we are at all-time highs, volatility is too prevalent.

  Sold same IC for $16.50 this morning and got out at $14. around 10:30. 15% of max profit. My fill was skewed getting 12.25 for call side and 4.25 for put side.

  I went with the same strikes, but entered later, not before 6:48 for 14.80. I was stopped out for a loss at 7:25 with a bracket order to close at 17/17.20. I was too tight as this was exactly the worst number the trade could get. The IVR of SPX was high this morning: 28.60, that is true. But when looking at the percentages, it was not that bad : about 17% loss was my “Success”. It just seems that I should have been at the 20 to 25%. which is just a lot off $$$ compared with the 6 Delta SPX trades. But we experienced similar if not bigger percentage swings there as well.
  
  I have set an alert if the trade will reach my 25% stop-loss which is at 18,50. It did hit the 10% profit bell by a good margin already.

    I was working on dropping the stop limit again and dropping the limit order lower when the limit order was hit @ 12.45 for 10%. I’ll take it.
    I agree that it is not working as it was the first couple weeks, not sure I am ready to give it up just yet.

      I’m not giving up either… I unfortunately got skittish today and set my stop too low. I just couldn’t stomach a $4 loss, which is a bad state to be in. I should be fine with that, and likely would be if it weren’t for my max loss mistake a couple weeks ago.
