  Stopped out for 22.20. Super frustrating when the only thing that keeps deterring me from minimizing losses is my own temperament. I have been repeating the mantra “protect profits” over and over to myself, but sometimes fail to follow through when stops are hit. I am getting better, however. This should have been a breakeven trade had I exited properly but instead became a 3.50 loss.

        Closed for 8.00, so made up for earlier loss plus a bit more. Beginning to think I shouldn’t even bother trying this trade until last 3 hours of trading. It’s going to vary based on market volatility, but right now sweet spot seems to be from 1:30p ET to close.

        Some people say 11 – 2 pm is slow with theta decay.
        My own experience for small credit collection with IB, best put on soon after open and close by noon, for OTM BWB with potential to expand, would need to hold as long as possible, often after 3pm to see decent additional credit to close.
