SPX 0-dte trades for 10/8/24

#SPX0dte Sold to Open $SPX Oct 8th 5615/5635-5760/5780 condors for 1.25, IV 22.15%, deltas -.06 +.06

Sold 5685/5715-5720/5750 condors for 19.038, IV 23.36%. I entered this in the first minute to take advantage of high premium. That runs the risk that we’ll rally or drop quickly, but yesterday’s volatility not really following through yet as VIX has dropped and not much overnight move.

  This trade made 1.00 in less than 5 minutes, and got to 1.50 within 15m. But couldn’t quite reach 1.90 (10%) before the rally kicked in. Stop not hit yet, so watching closely.

  5760/5780 call side stopped for 2.00. Wisely left the tight condor early, wish I’d done the same with this call side! Still small profit for the day.
