Sold 5865/5885-5960/5980 condors for 4.05, IV 23.28%, deltas -.18 +.16. Starting with $1 trailing stop

  Closed 20d condor for 2.75. Mid price hit $2 profit, so I lowered stop limit to .50. So stop came down to 2.60, which was then hit and order filled for 2.75. So 15 cents of slippage from the stop level. Question is whether to take the $2 when its available or always just wait for trail stop to get hit.

    I like the procedure with the trailing stop. But tend to exit the trade once my profit target is hit and move on.

      Yeah my first two days had significant moves from center. I need to see how the trail stop behaves on a more centered day, but I would definitely look to close manually when it gets at or below 1.00. Like today, it got to .45 before the huge spike down, bounce back, then it spiked down into the close, BREACHING my short strike! As long as we stay in this on/off tariff madness, I won’t be letting things go to expiry very often.
