  Bailed on the 20d for 4.15, so basically breakeven after commissions. Futures spiked higher about a minute after I entered, so this went over a dollar in the hole at the open. That’s my stop level, but it relaxed back down so I could wait for a breakeven exit. Wish I could have stayed as it has now dropped lower into a great range, but gotta heed my rules more often than I break them.

  I had opened one early 6180/6210 – 6225/6255 which showed at 6:20 Deltas of 16 / 17. I felt OK until it opened with a 30 Delta on the call side! of course, i lost money. this may have been the worst discrepancy in the Deltas.

    I don’t even bother with the TOS deltas in pre market. I use IB deltas or look at premium of short strikes, and make sure that put premium is a bit higher than calls when “centered”

      I had been using the IB Deltas, and the premium I received was Put 2.70 and Call 2.10, made the surprise only bigger. Yet, I didn’t verify being centered. I was not. Relied on Deltas only.
      And I just looked at the development of the futures between me placing the trade and the open: it rose by almost 12 points. That may have just been it.

        Oh yes, today was just the big move upward in 10 minutes before the open. That’s what killed it.

Puts closed for .10 and annoyingly, after 2 hours, stop hit on call side.
