May Jobs Report

Labor force participation down 0.2 to 62.4%
Average hourly earnings up by 0.4%; +3.9% Y/Y, both more than expected

April jobs revised down by -30K to +147K
March jobs revised down by -60K to +120K

Payroll

Employers across the U.S. added 139,000 jobs in May new federal data shows, a sign the labor market remains steady despite economic headwinds from tariffs. Payroll gains in May exceeded economists’ forecast of 130,000.
