SPX 0-dte trades for 6/6/25

#SPX0dte Sold to Open $SPX Jun 6th 5890/5910-6045/6065 condor for 1.10, IV 24.37%, deltas are anyone’s guess, but I shot for 06/06 the best I could estimate.

      Welp, came into this week pretty optimistic that I found an approach to better handle the 2025-style volatility. After two weeks with only one 20d stop-loss, I got three in one week. Stops hit twice on the 6d but also bailed at breakeven on 2 others. I was still a bit in the green on Wednesday but went negative yesterday and now ending the week with a modest loss.
      
      My later-in-the-day trading has been pretty awful in recent months so I wanted these two strategies to either profit or breakeven in the morning so I could end my day. Worked okay until yesterday. The only way to play this week with 0-dte is to try to catch some swings.
      
      I will stick to this into next week but sadly disappointed at the moment.

        Closed puts for .10. Also made 1.40, (biggest trade of the week!), by riding the 5975/6005-6010/6040 condor from 16.90 to 15.50. I mostly avoid these now due to the abrupt moves that have become so common. So it’s mostly luck to pick the right time to enter. Sure enough, about 20 minutes after exiting SPX dropped 20 points quickly. So I don’t advise these trades in this market, but wanted to make my week’s loss less chunky.
