MARKET How do you prepare?…

How do you prepare? The SPY has been above its 8 days exponential move for the last 30 trading days! Never closed below, barely touched it during the day. I can’t remember this kind of a run.

The weekly TQQQ has gone up 7 weeks in a row and closed at the top of the range on all 7 weeks but on volume that is tapering lower. Inflation, IMHO, is under counted and not in control which hurts average and lower income people the most.

1 sided markets suck for traders. This is complete insanity. Looks just like the market did in 1999/2000 and again in 2008 right before the crashes.

As traders we have to trade what the market gives us even if it is complete garbage. As the saying goes, the market can be irrational longer than you can be solvent.

I also notice the market makers are messing with VIX on the SPX options all week but especially for tomorrow expiration. I have a position that should be up 44k but because they do not want to pay that they have jacked the IV for those options from 16% up to 158%. At some level those options need to lose 44k of time value over the next 24 hours but they are trying everything they can to not have to pay out. I am showing paper loss of 9k due to that.

Be patient, adjust positions when needed, and focus on the longer term returns. There are times (like this) that the market makes no sense at all. At these times either sit on the sidelines in cash as a position or be really good at hedging.

On a positive note, everyone’s long only 401K should be at all time highs.

Bond traders are smarter than stock traders, there are pricing in interest rates need to be a lot higher.
