Looks like part of the strength in the miners today is from an analyst upgrade of $ABX lifting all the miners. Unless the fever of the past couple of day’s subsides, I’m not planning to open any additional trades in $NUGT. Not that I don’t think there are opportunities, but I watch closely the Buying Power being consumed by any given position. With $NUGT having gone from $56 to $71 in the last 3 days, I am now at the upper end of my range. I will wait for this weeks and possibly even next weeks positions to roll off before entering any new trades.

Looks like Gold has once again failed to show any follow through strength. Still can’t get above the 20d SMA.
$NUGT holding up better than gold but if gold continues to roll over, $NUGT will follow.
I actually don’t want it crash lower. The longer is stays up like this, the more money we make selling weekly calls with some premium.

Todays 1 minute chart looks like a double black diamond run. Selling calls quickly at the open looks like the right trade today.
Meant to put in a sell order and accidentally bought back my May 95 at 2.60. Turned around and re-sold it for 2.30. Ooops lost 30 cents but luckily the original sale was 3.60 so still a money maker overall. 🙂

Looks like even though the dollar is pretty weak today, Gold is hanging in there, but really not catching a bid. Maybe the gold buyers have exhausted themselves.
The past month or so, I’ve had a lot of $NUGT positions on, as positions expired, I entered new one’s. At this point, I’m really not inclined to add any more positions, I plan to work off the existing positions that I have unless $NUGT shows some strength. Just not enough premium in the upside calls right now to make the risk/reward worth it. Since we’ve all seen $NUGT move $15 in a day multiple times I don’t want to sell any calls below $70, and they just aren’t worth anything. If the #Gold/$XME move is over, then selling additional puts right now doesn’t really appeal to me either since this thing could drop like a stone.

I have never traded NUGT but I thought I would do 1 put APR1 43/41 bu put 1 contract for .35 cr in paper money. Please tell me your thoughts on this trade.
