#ShortCalls – I’m booking these and following @Ramie and selling some nearer term UVXY call spreads. I’ll be applying all of the profits to the purchase price of my LEAP SVXY calls until they are zero risk and then after that applying to SVXY losses. This looks like a much better way of cost reduction on the long SVXY calls vs selling calls against them since premium is so weak.

Also rolled covered Dec 15 calls out to Dec 29 $118 for 0.50db, still net gain $1.50 if exercised.
I split the number of contracts because I sold half the stock to cover a car purchase. This gives me time to repurchase the shares after exercised Dec 29. Hopefully the stock will correct shortly after.

Last week was exercised on naked call ($1.25) at $14. Today I elected to cover potential margin call by selling $15 put ($0.73) and buying $19 protective call ($0.13). I think this will mitigate my risks to a low cost worst case $3.15 (19-14-1.25-0.60). However more likely is a small gain if present trends continue $0.85 (14+1.25+0.6-15), and acceptable return. Does anyone see any flaws in plan?

1. We continue up and life is good (except for the next batch I have to roll)
2. We tank and I own SVXY. By using spreads it really doesn’t matter how low it goes. In fact, the lower the better. Wherever it ends up I’ll be getting the stock at a basis 12.25 above wherever it’s trading at the time. (sold the original call for 2.75 and the spread is 15 wide)
