STO $UVXY June 18 puts (2) for 1.95.

I was on the fence about this sort of situation in this week and March 18. I think I’m going to take the stock this week and write calls until it goes away, but I might roll the Mar 18 30’s if there’s any sort of a pop before then. I’m afraid the volatility is over, but I just can’t believe we are in a less volatile world than we were in last year.

Tomorrow could go either way. I know hope is a bad plan, but…I guess I don’t know how to finish that.

  I agree that volatility is likely to continue this year, but just remember that these ETFs are structured to go toward zero. You can look at the weekly chart and see how much lower UVXY is now than it was in previous corrections. So even if we have more volatility weeks or months from now, UVXY could be at notably lower levels. So be careful whenever you are “long” UVXY, whether it be long shares or short puts.

    On the next $UVXY up day, maybe tomorrow depending on reaction to employment data, I’ve got some puts to roll down and out as well (Mar 11 $30’s). Volatility has just totally collapsed this week.
