#Market Tomorrow, my guess we’ll get a decent job number, and it will give us an initial pop in the pre-market…. but I believe it will fade and we will end the day down. I don’t have a ton of conviction in it, however; will be ready to play either direction. But I believe near-term risk is more to downside.

Sold $NUGT Nov 18 35 calls @ 1.25. Because of all the volatility, if GDX gets back to its high, 3x of this would bring NUGT to around 32 (and that’s if it went straight up which of course it wouldn’t). So selling some calls near the all time high on the thesis that even with a big move back up in gold and the miners to their recent highs, the headwinds on triple-leveraged NUGT will keep it from getting there as well.

After using weekly call premium to buy in some DITM puts I’ve got room to roll down and add a contract to get a better lowering of the strike. Taking advantage of the little pop today.
Rolled Sep 31 and 32 puts to Oct 26 puts at 2/3 ratio getting 1.50 credit. (bought 2 and sold 3). This increases my max loss if NUGT goes to zero tomorrow but I’m planning on buying those 2 extra ones back in at some point. I’ll slightly over write the calls for the next few weeks…
