Amazing how many people say “this can’t happen again” or “this can’t happen now/here”. The lessons of history seem to be ignored more and more these days.

  I don’t think we should do anything in fear, and I believe the price today is what it is today. However it could be useful to be aware of past market dynamics that could repeat which could inform strike price choices, hedging opportunties and the like.

In 1987, the FED was raising interest rates when that occurred and the DOW and S&P were trending down at that time.
