I’m betting fibwizard is getting one heck of a nice scalp this morning. In at 19333 and still riding it. I gotta start getting up earlier…LOL

07:30 Long YM at 19934, as it bounced at the Center Pivot..Stop at 19900..still in trade, until bars go red..
09:05 Stop moved to 19960, waiting for the 9:30 reversal..
09:20 Stop moved up to 19980 after the 9:15 stall..target of 20010 hit so far…
09:25 Stop moved to the 20000, as price stalls a lil..locks in a 65 point gain
09:30 Exit at the 20010, as the price weakens for the 9:30 bounce…a known and expected behaviour..
gain of 82 Points at 25.00/point

  I am getting set up at TOS this week. Do you have settings on your indicators? I also need to learn how to navigate the charts and settings.

    you may want to practice until you feel really confident…and know where teh moves and bounces are consistantly happening..
    
    My trend bars are set to 4 bars for the trend change..all others are set to default…
    TTM_Trend = 4
    TTM_wave-A = not changeable
    TTM_Squeeze = Default
    Pivots = time frame =day, show only today
    ST_Launch = default

      OK, gotta ask. How the hell did you get rid of the volume from your layout? Also, how did you get the ADX, ATR and RSI to just show up as numbers in your upper left corner? It’s not really important for this setup, but just really wanted to know how you did it so I could do it at some point in the future should I want to.

        Volume is selectable..it can be a bottom study..or its selectable in TOS general settings…
        
        Labels at the top I did myself..I redid the standard indicators and added The coding for the upper labels for stuff like ADI/IV/ATR…I can send it if you like..

        Thanks, just found the “show volume subparagraph” check box within the chart settings on the futures tab.
        
        I’ve never inserted code myself. Saw in the studies area where to do it. Might be a good thing to try out. Was sort of hoping there was just a selection box somewhere that I hadn’t found yet.

  Nice Trade. Studied your posts over the weekend and got my TOS screen setup. Was watching this morning trying to predict your moves. I noticed on some trades you are very technical and true to the indicators on the exit. This morning though, you just kept moving up your stop which kept you in the game longer. There were a couple on points where the indicators alone would have told you to exit. Well played.

    I purchased the indicator from Carter’s Website for 197.00..then downloaded it and imported it into TOS..then added it as a lower study on my charts..
    
    I took a Carter Class over the weekend with two of his Futures Traders…they have been trading ES and YM for 30 years..I got some nice useful info from them..times to trade, times to not trade..and known behaviour patterns..what times it will reverse each day..
    as mentioned in my trade, it usually stalls or reverses at 9:30cst…after its initial run up or down..
    
    and your correct, I am a technical chart trader..its what I love to do..its by no means perfect, but if your good at it, it work 90% of the time..when it doesnt work, I will either not take the trade, or I stop out for a small loss..I dont alter my methods, and I never 2nd guess my discipline..when its time to exit, I exit..I never look back ..
    
    I use my indicators and chart as a system, as no one piece can stand by itself..when they line up, and the chart is correct, I have an edge..and trade it..when they dont, I dont trade..half of it is knowing the YM/ES behaviour and how it operates..teh other half is knowing technical charting and having the discipline to make it work…

      Have been following the ES/YM commentary and trying to setup the Chart, not having luck in some areas. I understand how to setup the John Carter Indicators.
      – I am not having any luck setting up the “Pivots” as
      your chart shows.
      
      Is it possible for you to create a list and illustration of all the settings and indicators ?? It would be very helpful for all of us trying to get a grasp of your methods.
      Also, would like to know more about the Carter Class you recently took, would like to do the same. If you have some of these items that can be sent I am at: lbower@gmbinvest.com
      I and others do appreciate your help in this trading approach.
