LABU

BTC 65 calls @.05

STO January 18, 2019 bear call spread 40/45 @.45 cents. It looks like I will have to roll these for the next 2 years in hope of breaking even. This was a very dumb trade.

Once it looked like I was going to be assigned a couple hundred shares (around a 55 basis) in one account I closed the small LABU LEAPS position (on Nov 23rd). I was already in an XBI long term 2021 position so I doubled the size of that and rolled the LABU loss into that basis.

Since the XBI position is so much bigger (3 lot vs 10 lot) it didn’t really change the amount required to sell by that much. The XBI trade is much more relaxing and only needs 15 cents per week.

Maybe something to consider with XBI being beaten down so much too…

  I would have to take a large hit in my account if I rolled into the XBI and I only need .15 cents per week for the next 104 weeks to break even. Besides, Fidelity like the brokerage I pay to roll these every week or so. LOL.

    LOL…I’m sure TDA like me this year too. I try to close as many as I can for a nickel or less but still quite a bit of commissions.

        I’ve got ’em down to 65 cents flat rate per contract. When I close for a nickel or less it’s a freebie getting it down to about 35 cents. I’ll call them back this year too and see what they’ll do! 🙂

      I have Fidelity down to 3.95 per trade and .40 cents per contract. At .10 cents or lower, I do not pay any commissions.

        I do a lot of one lot scaling in so told TDA I would need something without the “per trade” fee. They were very good to work with. Tastyworks and Robin Hood have their attention I think.

Buy some LABU leap puts and work it back as a #fuzzy from that angle. That is what I am doing with EOG (down 30+ points) and can make about 0.5 every 3 weeks.

  The premiums are too large and the spreads are too. I will just continue to sell call spreads.
