Hi,
I am new to do put selling. As far as the strategy goes, do you typically sell 3 months out 50% off-of the current price? What kind of margin is required for such trades?

  Th margin requirement is up to your broker. I look at the QQQ and as long as it is in an up trend, I feel comfortable selling puts on the TQQQ out as far as 3 to 4 months depending on the strike price. I also have reserves to take delivery if I am assigned. I hope this helps.
