This weekend I say good bye to an old friend, we weren’t friends at first, a very trying relationship, but we somehow worked it out.
In July of 2018 I sold a 76 put as WDC had dropped from around 106. I rolled to 75 and was promptly assigned at 75. Through put and call sales I was assigned 3 more times as recently as June of 2019 at much lower strikes. Option premium as been good, easy to roll, plus dividends made it profitable for my 200 shares to be called away at 55, making around $600.

In July I sold a couple 9 puts after DUST had dropped to around 12 from around 25. Dust kept going down into the 5s while I kept rolling the puts. I closed them today for a $35 loss, not bad given where it was.

August 9 I sold a Sept. 20, 65/77.50 strangle so DD headed south. I rolled the call down into an inversion, rolled the inversion to Oct. 25. I was able to close today with a $104.00 gain, more than I would have taken out of the strangle, but with consternation costs.

June 25, sold a July 19, 29/37 strangle, adjusted it 3 times ending up in an Oct. 18, inverted 37/41 strangle as it climbed from around 32 to around 50. I closed it today, making $33.63.
Yesterday I sold a jade lizard in MU, the demise of which made the above possible. There is plenty of time to turn it around if it stabilizes.

1 down, 1 to go. August 7, sold a 60/140 strangle with ROKU around 100, it peaked around 173. Three adjustments resulted in a 140 straddle. I was able to exit with a $12.00 gain.
I still have another ROKU position that started as a 50/80 earnings strangle from May which isn’t looking very good lately.

May 10, sold a June 21, 190/280 strangle. Through numerous adjustments it ended up as a Sept. 20, 185/200 inverted strangle. I took in $4,163 in premium. Bought today for $4,143, freeing up about 8k in margin, whew.
