I hope so..I could use a 50-60 point gap down at open..These 20-30 point swings in YM during intra-day are a pain…

  what script are you using to not trade when price gets choppy/?
  I can see the ups and downs but want to not enter a trade when flat or chop.

    if the candles are sideways, on YM or ES, I dont trade..if the price is stuck between fib levels, pivots, and the 34ma, all within a 10 point area..then I dont trade it, there isnt any room to move …I wait for the price to resolve to an open space to run..if I cant see a 20 point space of room to run, I wait until a better setup shows up..there are plenty of large runs during the day…you just have to wait for the right opportunity and be ready to hit the trade early and stay in it to the end…..

    some days the mkts are slow and dont move a whole lot, even on intraday..Getting 100 points on a day when the YM posted a 16 point close is reasonably a good day, all things considered…
    
    Today I got 200 on a day with an 8 point close ….still a slow day, but some decent moves after 10am…
