We are still in an Upside Warning but it seems to have run out of steam… Famous last words, perhaps. We just hit a two-week high, so this could finally be the run to 2500.

#SPXcampaign Bought to close $SPX Aug 7th 2480 calls for .50. Sold in the 2480/2505 call spreads for 7.50 on July 26th. Nice one to close. Now for those two ITM spreads down around 2440. Ready for the VIX to wake up!
STO WDC 8/18 84 calls…
STO WDC 8/18 84 calls at 0.83 and 85 calls at 0.72 against assigned positions. Will take about 3 weeks of rolling to break even and a few more weeks to make extra cash on it. Already have cost basis into mid 87s, assigned at 90 but currently sitting at 81 and change.
STO XBI 9/15 74 puts at 0.98. Resetting the ladder. Had to close a few early last week to open up some margin so I could take delivery of the wdc puts/stock.

The S&P 500 is on pace for its 72nd straight trading session without a gain of 1 percent or more — its longest such streak since early 2007.
The implications of this kind of historical market calm that’s been the subject of much debate across Wall Street this year are concerning to some strategists who believe low volatility (while the market grinds to all-time highs) is the so-called calm before the storm.
The last time the S&P posted a gain larger than 1 percent in a single trading session was on April 24, with a gain of 1.08 percent.
edit: SPX hasn’t closed up or down 0.3% for 12 consecutive days. 10 in a row in ’66 and ’61 were the previous records.
Edit2: Looking at SVXY, the range for the last 6 trading days is only 3 points 89.81 – 92.85
