TradeKing is TradePeasant today!

Anyone use TradeKing? I have had no problems until this weekend when they decided to upgrade their servers, etc. It was down all weekend so couldn’t check anything. Today, sometimes up and mostly down. Can’t place any online trades. Ouch.
Any suggestions? Am looking at TDAmeritrade with account via TastyTrade. Still will pay more costs than TradeKing, but it may be worth it for the extras you get.
Thoughts?

TOS is very good, it gives you Futures and Stocks for free. If you open the account via Dough you get a $1.50 commission per option each way. Some people have a better schedule depending on the account size and the frequency of trades.
TS is also good, their commission is lower $1.00 per option each way and it gets lower if you have a 6 figure account; however, unless you can negotiate a better deal, you’ll have to pay for the platform. Those fees are $99 a month, but if you make more than 50 trades a month they wave the fee. You would have to pay for futures though.

Tradeking is terrible. I opened the account for the free API access, but the data quality and reliability were so terrible that it was just worthless.

TOS might run into some lag issues during a fast moving market, but it’s bearable. Trading is easy on the platform, but yeah, it’s expensive if you don’t negotiate.

I’m thinking about migrating to IB for pricing. The tools look ok, but it doesn’t look as well organized as TOS.

I used to be with TradeKing because the brought Zecco (I was with Zecco for few years). left TradeKing few months ago. There were many good guys but almost all were gone. Now I am using TOS which has better software.

I would bet you trade enough to get preferred commissions. Their customer service is pretty responsive, if you call,I’d be surprised if they don’t work with you at TDA. tell them you’re considering Interactive or ScottTrade.

Thanks for all the replies. I’ve been playing around with Dough and may just go ahead and open an account with TDA through them as it does reduce the commissions, plus I can also maybe “talk ’em down” a little more.
