This stock should be banished. I own 700 shares at 95.76 and It may take another 2 years to break even.

  Got that right. I’ve got a couple hundred in an IRA. This particular trade was one I got stuck in so decided to try to go the distance for a scratch. Good practice for the bigger positions…LOL

      So I know no one likes to take a loss, but at what point do you cut the CELG loss and make it up elsewhere? Seems like if it was going to take 2 years that money might be better invested elsewhere? Just curious as to everyone’s opinion.

        Ditching for something with more potential is certainly an option. I would definitely consider that if my entire account was invested and there was a great opportunity elsewhere. Since the buying power for my CELG shares would be in cash anyway, I’m hanging on since the chart is starting to look like a turnaround possibility. I’ll probably be looking to Jan to maybe sell some 95 strike calls next week on any strength. That’s still about 5 percent annualized on my 93.90 basis.
        
        My other CELG position that the original post was about is a different position in a different account. Selling against long calls to work back to even on it.

        LOL. I thought you had a position in AAOI but didn’t take the time to check. Last year, I got assigned early on my 101 calls, the day before it dropped to 73. Oh what fun! I hope you make all your money back and then some. I just couldn’t make it work.

        I’m short DITM puts at about a 65 basis. I’m gonna keep rolling them down and out to the next LEAP and selling calls against them when I can. Then…I’m going to print the stock certificates and put them in my casket. 😀😀
