  @fibwizard i wonder if i could ask about 1) the cci settings you use for the /YM, and how you get the “zero” “100” “150” “200” levels on the cci charts; 2) about the other notations (incl pp, Rx and Sx, DIT, CV, and Deg) i’ve seen on your shared charts; and 3) the moving averages you’re using. i’m impressed by your ability to catch turns and moves, and would like to learn how myself.

    Sierra has a study you can add to any chart area called Horizontal Lines..it allows you to set lines of any value and overlay that on any of the indicators or main chart…
    
    The Pivot points are a price chart study, and available on most platforms..Most pro’s in the pits or trade floor use Pivots and fib levels to trade in the markets, thus they are called Floor Pivots..I use the daily pivots on my intraday charts..and trade ES/YM from pivot to pivot..On Fib’s, I use the 38 and 61 only…I take the bounce at those lines or I exit at those lines..
    
    for moving averages, I use a 3 and 7 for MA crosses, to enter trades on on intraday..I use a 34ma for the signature trend direction and reversion to the mean..on all charts..
    
    On my daily charts, I use advance Fibonacci Levels to show possible retracement level to get in on fib retraces or bounces…
    
    I use a 3 indicator set on my daily SPX charts to warn me of a pending reversal move..
    acceleration/Deceleration osc..ADO
    stochastics Momentum index SMI
    Dinapoli Detrended Osc DPO
    
    when used correctly as a group, they give you an advance warning of a change of momentum and thus a reversal coming soon..this is what I used to call the correction on Friday jan 26th..and exit my short spx trades and buy a long 2900 put..between my Long put, and my long spread sides, I made out quite well with this 300 point drop..

      I’m new to ToS and still learning my way around it (i’ve traded options for 5+ years (on a diff broker), trying to branch out to the indices.
      For your ma’s: 34 looks like exponential; cant tell for 3 and 7?
      ADO looks like it cant be adjusted.
      SMI looks like you’re using it stock.
      DPO looks like you’ve adjusted it down to 3 and 3? (ToS’ version doesn’t say Dinapoli)?
      CCI (from a prior /YM posting) looks like you’re using it stock, with manually drawn lines then at (+/-) 0, 100, 150, 200, 300 (and ?) ?
      From day to day posts, I’ve seen charts with 1) DIT, CV, Deg; 2) AC/DC Histogram; and 3) CV, PD, EV. Are these just notes you’ve made, as you’ve tracked trades and price movement, or are they something else to monitor?

        34 is an EMA..
        3 and 7 are SMA’s
        ADO is set hard by the indicator calc
        CCI is using a 50 and 14 ma length
        DPO is set for 3
        SMI is set for -40,40,3,5,3
        
        The abbrev’s on the Lines are part of the line setup in sierra…On futures I like to see the amount of the move..On daily charts, I want to see the percent of movement..so I know where pullbacks at certain percentage’s are..such as this correction at 10% is at 2590..which is at a 61% fib level..15% is at the 2470, which is a 38% fib level..when the pullback percentage is known and the fibs are the same, I can call and trade the bottom bounces…if you dont know where its going to, then your just guessing..
