  Some guys in our union forum were talking about Cardano today. Looking to add this to the portfolio…here’s some of the highlights: (I am Scott)

  You have some good info. Coinbase is the best app for the smartphone. They own the GDAX exchange. You can buy any of the coinbase traded coins on the GDAX without fee if you use a limit order.
  
  Bittrex is having problems not accepting any new customers right now. Bin ace is based in the U.K. and I opened an account there yesterday.
  
  Coinmarketcap website has a lot of useful statistics.
  
  I feel the best new coIn is Cardano. It just started 9/29/17 and has gone from .03 to .42 today. The CEO behind the project at IOHK started Ethereum in 2015. There wallet is going to be one of the best availble. They are putting 25 bank machines in Japan next year.

  Great explanation. Buy a little and then enjoy watching it. Figure out how much money you are willing to set on fire and watch burn while enjoying a cold beer…that’s the amount to risk. Never know you might get lucky but just get involved. Reminds me of the late 80s when people were talking about some internet thing. I wasn’t about to buy some weird thing called a Google…that would be stupid paying 10 bucks a share for. LOL.
  
  I didn’t invest my life savings but did throw a couple grand at the top coins and already looking at a 6 bagger on the returns. Either way fun to watch.

  Charkes Hoskinson started Ethereum. His latest project is Cardano. He has a pretty good track record.

  in the top of the chart you will notice “All” ”Coins” “Tokens”. If you click on Tokens you will notice the platform that most of them use is Ethereum.
  
  What makes Cardano so impressive is it is the next generation of programmable platform. The language that is used to program the smart contracts is Java, which is one of the most widely used languages in the world.

  Thanks Glenn. Looking to diversify and Cardano is in the top 10 based on market cap. I don’t have any Bitcoin or Bitcoin cash but a Cardano position will get me in 5 of the top 10.

  BTW…here’s an interesting interview with a guy (kid) named Vitalik Buterin who was also involved in ETH from the beginning. Could be his first interview ever. Tastytrade does a segment each day on up and coming entrepreneurs. This one was recorded on Feb 5th 2014. I remember watching this but just blew it off. Incredible!

What platform do you buy the currencies? Coinbase doesn’t have Ripple.

  I used:
  
  Coinbase (GDAX) : Ethereum and Litecoin
  Bitstamp: Ripple
  Binance: IOTA and Cardano
  
  They are all a little bit of a pain to set up but it’s a one time deal. Double authentication required on them using Google Authenticator or Authy apps linked to your smartphone. In some cases uploads of identification and proof of residence required.
