Does anyone here use TastyWorks?…

Does anyone here use TastyWorks? And how do you like it?

I set it up, but then went elsewhere..I dont like the prices or the platform…

    They tend to tie a lot of the kudo’s to TT…I dont use TT for anything..so that part of thier platform does nothing for me..also they dont have a PT platform for trying something new, If the need arises..as well other places are cheaper..

I have used Tastyworks since they started. I really like the platform. Found it more intuitive and easier to use than TOS (which I still have an account with). Commissions are good $1 in per contract and $0 out (Max $10 per trade). Also their customer service is very good. Down side for me – they don’t have joint accounts yet. Not as many features as TOS . If your thinking of using Tastyworks I would recommend checking out their Tastytrade web site also.

Use TOS for making trades but use TW to analyze trades for POP, etc. I’m pretty visual and like the different ways of previewing a potential trade, but my trades are not, by any stretch, as sophisticated as the rest of OBer’s. Also use charts, which TW/TT doesn’t believe in, and sometimes their ticker feed is slower than TOS, best to verify before clicking.

I opened my accounts and had them all ready to go. Worked as great leverage to get TDA to work with me. Big issue I have is no portfolio margin yet. Supposed to be coming soon. Also the platform doesn’t scale quite right for my 13 inch high res laptop I travel with. Works great at home but not so much on the road.

I do like the functionality of the platform though. Easy to use and streamlined. I especially like how they handle earnings dates…you can set a column on the watchlist to show the date and then sort the list by earnings date with one click. Very easy to see what’s coming.

I’ll fund one of the accounts eventually just to play with it in real time….
