  It’s an AlphaShark indicator, Market Tide, that @hcgdavis introduced to OB last month. I bought it and have been using it ever since to fine tune entries on my short-term trades.

You’re getting good premium by playing the swings. Have you used the indicator yet on a one-direction day, where we go steady up or down with no swings?

  I start the trade with the current swing trend. If I don’t get a reversal, I don’t add the other side. It just so happens that I usually get a reversal on both the 5 and 30min charts which are the ones I’m using.

        So the first trade, for puts I presume, was near the open? Was the “current swing trend” at that time showing we’re going higher so you sold puts right away on presumption it may be low of the day?

        Yes, if new trend begins on ES not long before the open, I take a trade in that direction right after the open. What I’m not showing here is that I have 5 min, 30 min, and 4 hour charts in a 3-chart grid. For these 1dte, the 5 min provides the trigger but I don’t trade against the 30 min direction.

        I am using market profile on 30 minute as anchor time frame and back up. Seems to work well.

        As long as we’re in chop mode on the daily chart, I’m mostly focused on income trades so playing both sides and hopefully getting a little edge with timing entries.
