Market Tide

#Tide I now have the Market Tide indicators on all my charts. Looks pretty solid. Also noticed that SPY 1-hour chart just printed a purple arrow, signaling a possible top for at least a few days.

It is a great indicator! Think everyone and their brother has been watching the 50ma resistance. Must’ve been a crap load of sell orders sitting there. I’d welcome a pullback to get some better rolls on covered calls Friday…

    I haven’t had time to watch a whole lot but was curious about something.
    
    I wonder how often the arrow ghosts but eventually becomes correct? In other words…is a ghosting arrow a good entry? I’m going to start circling every arrow i see so I’ll know where they used to be if they go away. Might be able to pick up a pattern of some sort.

      The ghost arrow is usually good for quick trade. If you’re swing trading or doing longer-term trades, I’d look for other confirmations before taking an arrow on the first bar. Easy come. Easy go. lol

    It uses fuzzy logic and may fade in and out for a while. Once the volume changes it will set, usually within 2-3 bars.

  I was convinced from Mama’s comments over the last few weeks. It’s only $249 for Bistro members. I could have made that much today if I’d shorted SQ or TQQQ at the high when the signal came through on 1m, 2m, and 3m charts.
  
  By the way, hourly arrow came back on SPY.

      Open an unfunded account at TDAmeritrade, and you’ll get Think-Or-Swim (TOS). If they ever tell you that you must fund the account, throw in $500 and let it sit there, and you can use TOS forever.

        Problem I have is I reside in the UK and TOS cannot offer accounts to UK citizens. I had an account with them for years but they had to close it due to regulations.

    Mine paid for itself in the very first trade about 6 months ago in beta testing. Very rare an indicator will do that!

    Mine has paid for itself many times over. I don’t use it in isolation but when I see a setup, if the indicator confirms, it gives me the confidence to take it.

One other pointer for you new people using it. I chart the futures when trading with it because it includes the over night session. /ES may trigger at 0200 but SPY will not reflect it until the open. Gets you in and out faster if directional trading. For me more the difference between an OTM, ATM, or ITM option sale.

  I do the same. I use the ES chart to trade SPX and SPY. RTY to trade RUT, IWM etc.

Just jumped on board and ordered the indicator. Received a few minutes ago and now I’m playing around with it. Thanks so much for the heads up/info and great pricing @hcgdavis. Oh and I owe you a beer or a few @fuzzballl for being the first out of the foxhole after Chris got the pricing set up. Now just looking to learn as much as possible about it/what settings for what objectives, etc. Just looking back at the data it seems pretty reliable. Thanks again everyone!
