Pre-Earnings losses

This has not been my finest hour with pre-earnings trades. 100% loss in both C and JPM. Cutting max position size in half for the rest of October.

tough week for me and other too.

I have an institution looking at my performance this week, and then this happens, poor timing.

  Thanks. I will. I’ve been trading for a long time. When things quit working, you either stop trading or cut your risk. At this point, I’m cutting risk.

I sold half my $JPM so the loss was minor. I’m optimistic we start rising again next week, but nothing’s certain. At least these trades are defined risk.

  Yes, several folks sold JPM on that big up day we had. I stubbornly held to mechanical timing which didn’t pan out this time.
