It amazes me they were doing this crap, even AFTER what happened in February with the inverse-ETFs. I wonder if their agreements with investors included the possibility of not only losing everything, but also having to pay extra after we lose all your money.

  I’m sure it was in the fine print. Unbelievable. After reading this though, I think I’m going to take some call premium received and buy some disaster puts in my leveraged positions. Pretty scary stuff. Gotta stay small too. Size was really this guy’s undoing.

    I bought some more disaster calls in UVXY this morning. I actually now have more long calls than short ones, albeit very far OTM.

    TT says stay small, trade often and seems to work.
    
    I would add, hedge almost everything except for a small chunk purely speculative/lottery ticket plays.

Those guys seemed to be pretty good at avoiding wipe-outs, seems like we all have them. At least I did not go to zero with /ES and SVXY.

Wish I still had my SPX hedge on, too late and too expensive now.

Seems like at least we are all learning here, evolve and survival of the fittest.

Appreciate all the ideas here 🙂

  Just a back of the notepad calculation, 290 clients x min. 1 million investment, some probably had a lot more. Potentially a half billion dollar or more explosion, holy crap………….
