GRMN

Appears to be in a nice volatility squeeze without increase in volume. Looks like it could pop to the upside, but hasn’t yet.
Any ideas on how to play this, or just watch? Thoughts appreciated?

My opinion is worth nothing but, it has been in a trading range since the last earnings and the 50 day ma has caught up with the stock but, the volume is not impressive. Having said that, you could buy a small amount and keep a stop just below the 50 day MA. It is not a trade that I would do but I am often wrong.

  Thanks, but I also don’t want to just buy the stock. The volume sure isn’t impressive so just pondering the options here.

If you want to place a directional trade to the upside, you could:
BTO Feb 92.5 C X 2 @7.70
STO Feb 97.50 C X 1@4.25
STO Feb 100 C X 1@2.90
Max Risk – $834
Max Gain – $416

ITM put spreads are a pretty low risk way to get long…size small enough to take stock if needed for covered call selling. As far as GRMN goes not really a fan without weeklies.
