Are you planning to keep all your SVXY stock or are you going to sell it soon and replace it with positions like this?

  I’ve already sold it all. Bought a few Jan 2020 calls as lottery tickets and moving on. Any profits in any volatility trades I do from now on will go to SVXY losses. Might make it up by the time I retire…LOL

  I have profits from January that will off set 1/3 of my losses and I will sell that amount before the end of the year plus any other profits that I make. If we ever get back into contango, the SVXY should inch up somewhat.

    I unloaded all the SVXY when we were in the 13’s. With the new structure of it, our politicians wanting to start a trade war, just saw vol. staying elevated for some time. Also, using the money elsewhere I am starting to make back some of the losses.
    
    Days like today do not help though!

  I was trading SVXY “conservatively” selling buy writes weekly. I took off Friday before Feb crash for vacation. I didn’t look at market until Thursday. When I saw $13 I thought there had been a 10:1 stock split. When I learned the truth I had lost 20% of my account I was depressed for a while. I think the TQQQ is another possible crash due to it’s ultra position. At least make it a spread to limit liability. Better trade directionally for those securities. Just wait till bottom is put in. I don’t think well have the V type recoveries without Fed support (not likely.) Good Luck to any who trade triple ETFs. I hope it works out for you. I won’t anymore.

    I sold the 1/3 of the position. At least I raised some cash. I am also scaling in the TQQQ through put options. This one is not involved in Futures so I want to own this for the long term.
